It is small enough for me to carry it with me everywhere I go for quick reference for reminders reference of God's promises to assist me in overcoming many many situations that I come in contact with in my daily walk. Claiming these promises have helped me to overcome many situations and will do the same for you. The lettering is large enough to read without any difficulties. Highly recommend this book when not having your bible with you. Bought 10 extra copies to pass out to my church family members.... as well as 10 copies of the promises for women.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift, but I have to confess I read it before wrapping it. I'm a huge fan of the Walking Dead, and I found it to be mildly entertaining, with some great recipes thrown in. It will not be the best literature you've ever read, but it will be a lighthearted way to spend about an hour reading. SPOILER ALERT: Not everything ends well in the Zombie Apocalypse! Let's hope your recipes do!

I just received it and I have already started marking the recipes I want to try first. The story so far is amazing! I am a huge zombie fan, zombie land, warm bodies, but most of all the Walking Dead! I'm going to be using some of these recipes at the Walking Dead Season 8 premiere party and I'm super excited.

Great Book!!!! If you love the show, "The Walking Dead" then you will love this cookbook. The names of the meals are awesome....it's really gruesome BUT really creative. I purchased the book for a gift and they were really excited.

Easily the most fun to read cook book that I own, and the recipes are good too. Although, I did have to reduce the time on the calzone recipe because they burned the first time that we tried to make them. 15 minutes was too long for our stove, but 10 minutes works just fine.

The Snacking Dead: A Parody in a Cookbook is a fun fast read with great recipes thrown in for good measure. I really enjoyed this book!

A must for zombie lovers....receipes are the life of any undead themed gathering...makes an entertaining gift as well. MAny of my friends are jealous that I was lucky enough to own the Snacking Dead....If they don't purchase their own copy before their birthdays -I know just what to get them!

This book is not very relevant if you're based in California. It gives you a general idea of what to expect on the test, but I think it's geared more for the East Coast. The basic reading and writing exercises are pretty good; however, the police stuff did not help me at all on the actual test. That's probably because I'm based in CA and the laws are a little different over here. If you're in CA, I suggest you check out other books.

Practice exams were nothing like the test issued by my department.

Nothing in the book was on the test. I still passed and got promoted though.

Good read

I bought this book about two months prior to taking the Sergeants test and read it cover to cover. It is very well written and easy to read. There is a test at the beginning of the book that helps you identify your weak areas so you can concentrate on them. Each section has a test after it to help drive home all the points. Not only did this book help me with the written, but the information inside also helped me prepare for the oral exam.I ended up ranking #1 in the testing process!!!! If your department uses the state written exam for Sergeant then this book is a MUST! WORTH ITS WEIGHT IN GOLD!!!

It has been about four years since I took the test. The book was great, but I am from a smaller department. This book is for someone in LA, Phila, or NY.It did help, no doubt, but it actually gave me a little too much information. The test I took was not as in depth as the ones exampled in this publication.

This book was limited in its coverage of access for travelers with limited mobility. I have MS and use a rolator walker. I was hoping for more suggestions and information, and not enough places covered. I understand that every major city could not be covered, but this book just didn’t cover enough. Also, maybe If a person with a disability collaborated on it, it might have offered better info. (Maybe someone with a disability did assist him, but it did not feel like it)

This book was excellent and a huge help in terms of links tio places to find additional information for those with mobility issues, the ONLY improvement I could see is if there were an updated version since this is 8 years old now, and would also love to see some additional cities in Europe not included like Switzerland and Italy for instance

This book provided valuable insight into visiting Paris for someone with limited mobility. I wish there was a similar reference for every location I visit!

“Java in a Nutshell” has been updated for Java 11. It has everything you'd expect from the prior editions – syntax, examples and a great reference. New features from Java 8+ are highlighted. Some design patterns and tradeoffs are explained. A lot of concepts, like garbage collection, are covered as well.I particularly liked the examples of common methods. There were a few in Collections that I could use and didn't realize existed. I also learned about a trick to with var and anonymous inner classes (that I hope not to see in real code). And of course, I like that big O notation was used in discussing collections. Many new features were covered well including method handles and modules.A number of garbage collectors were discussed. I was surprised the g1 garbage collector didn't get more attention. It was well explained but didn't have a section header. I was also surprised to see an appendix that covered Nashorn since it a deprecated feature.Overall, this is a great book and I recommend it for your Java learning/reference.

Dr. Enders has published numerous research articles in such journals as the Review of Economics and Statistics, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and the Journal of International Economics. Like many a graduate student of economics, I used Walter Enders' Applied Econometric Time Series text for my 'metrics class.For starters, Enders removes crucial pieces of proofs and other calculations with condescending remarks like "It's obvious that..." or "It's clearly..." and it makes for a much more difficult reading. I'll admit I'm no Ivy leaguer, but more transparent math would get more stars for this review. And would have greatly advanced my understanding of the material.Secondly, some of my more time-series inclined classmates (and my professor) found several mistakes in the solutions to the problems. Combined with omitted mathematical steps, I hate this book. Hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it.I'm not sure why it's the standard text for time series econometrics. The 4th edition is coming out in the fall, apparently. Maybe he actually wrote a complete text. It's obvious that this is a terrible book.

Coming into it cold, this book is terrible. You need an instructor who is familiar with the particular book (its structure, pitfalls, etc), otherwise it takes going through several sections to get a handle on how its set up.Things are not grouped like a normal text (and that is bad). Everything is spread out such thta something is introduced, then something else is introduces, then in a later section that is brought back up again in terms of what might be wrong with it, how to test it etc.I should be able to look up a topic and learn about it. This book is terrible for finding what you're looking for...unless you already know where it is.Worse than that, he doesn't let on what has been covered, what has not been covered, or what won't be covered.For instance, when talking about things like the method of undertermined coefficients, early on he just does it, gives you the answer etc, with no clue that in a later section he'll show what he just did. So if you didn't know, you're left scratching your head, trying to figure out all the steps he just jumped. Its not til half a chapter later that he brings up those steps.That being said, once you "get" the way its organized, and can read through it while trusting that he will come back to the questions you have, then it has its merits.

I love the book written by Dr. Enders. It is a good book for the beginner.

we use this book at schoolnot designed for graduate students who actually care about what's going behind the sceenit's more like a cookbook, tells you what to do in each step but not good at explaining why you should do it that way

The book has the basic material on time series. Nice complement for an econometrics class. The examples are well explained.

Good book, well written, well organized and most importantly very pratical for who wants to use time series in the course of its work. I think it's valuable as well for students and it gives proof and a good intuition of these models.

I got the book since I needed to read on VAR models. I am working on panel data and this book explains the concept in time series of course. However, it still helped me to get the concept. I tried many books on VAR and non were helpful, they all make it so complicate and mathematical for no reason! while this book used just enough amount of math and intuition to explain it.
